Adventurous
golfers will scale new heights this summer on rugged
mountain courses in Vermont and Colorado with the 2004
U.X. Open Tour.
The sixth annual
U.X. Open is golf with attitude...and altitude! It leaves
the manicured fairways, rigid dress codes, extensive
rules and high costs at the country club offering golfers
a whole new challenge
up, down, and across a
10-hole mountain course crafted from ski slopes, with
10 simplified rules catering to the "extreme"
terrain.
Founded in 1999,
the U.X. Open has been featured in USA Today, Time,
Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, Good Morning America, ESPN
SportsCenter and hundreds of other media outlets
worldwide. Many have likened it to becoming to traditional
golf what snowboarding is to downhill skiing.
All golfers, of any skill level, looking
for new challenges need to take on the rigors of U.X.
Open golf. You'll hit shots you never even imagined
and we guarantee you'll have a blast. And after each
event, players are invited to a rockin' party at the
host mountain for food, drink, music and the U.X. Open
Awards presentation.

The 2004 Tour will culminate with the
U.X. Open Championship on Sept. 19 at Snowmass,
CO featuring the top three players from each qualifying
event, plus defending champ Ed Galvan in the unique
survivor-style shootout and national media attention.
The venue is not the only thing
that makes the U.X. Open different. Instead of putting,
players pitch the ball onto a painted circle 20-30 feet
in diameter; there's a four-club limit; less severe
penalties for lost balls, "winter rules" and
no dress code
although hiking boots are strongly
recommended. And you can forget about yardage markers
and golf carts. (click here for
